We donate to local charities, religious organizations, schools and youth organizations on a first come, first serve basis; although we do have specific organizations that are a part of our budget each year. Our main charity focus is OMNI Youth Services.  If your charity would like to be considered in our charitable giving or if you would like us to buy an ad in your publication, please contact us prior to the year you wish us to participate (contactus@dakotak.com - "charity" on the subject line. We'll respond by February 15th.)  

Because our youth are our future, we have chosen Omni Youth Services as our main charity. Over the past 8 years we have donated and/or helped raise over $49,000.00 for OMNI - $23,989 coming directly from Dakota-K. We are proud to support this great organization. You can help by saving some of your basic car maintenance for February or March of each year. We donate one percent of all our sales and ten percent of sales that exceed the prior months (same months previous year) excluding tires.    

To support local churches and synagogs, we donate items for silent auctions, and occasionally buy an ad in religious organization booklets. Some of those organizations include: Lutheran Digest, Hadassah, Kingswood United Methodist Church, St. James, JCC, Beth AM, and Congregation Shirat Emet

 

Local Sports Teams

BGRA Baseball - We have supported a Buffalo Grove Recreational Association little league team since we started in business in 1974. We try to see at least one game a year and take our team and their families out for pizza.    

We have been occasional sponsors of Arlington Heights Girls Softball, Arlington Cowboys, Redwing Hockey, and BGPD Soccer
